2010 Exhibits, So Far...

It's always a thrill to see "ACCEPTED" in the subject line of incoming emails!
I'll have prints in the following group shows opening this summer.

Two of my pictures will be up at the Griffin Museum of Photography 16th Juried Show. Exhibiting works were selected by Joerg Colberg, author of photography blog Coscientious. The show will be on view from June 30th through August 29th.

The Griffin Museum of Photography is located 15 minutes from Boston, in Winchester, MA.
60 works were selected from 2,000 images submitted by 300 photographers.

Jennifer Blessing, Curator of Photography at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, selected Jackie and Dolce, Echo Park for the Soho Photo Gallery 2010 National Competition Exhibition. The show will be on view from July 6 through August 7.

The Soho Photo Gallery is located in New York, NY.
33 works were selected from 2,250 images submitted by 340 photographers.

And don't forget to visit the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. As a finalist in the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition I have a piece on view there until September 6th.

Lenscratch

Check me out on Lenscratch! This blog, by Aline Smthson, is an excellent resource for those interested in contemporary art photography. Aline is impressively prolific, posting nearly everyday about photography related encounters and influences. Lenscratch is nationaly recognized as "one to watch" and has helped establish a sense of community amongst Los Angeles photographers. Aline is also a respected contributer to various photography portfolio reviews, and is also a talented photographer.

Vote for My Portrait...

I am proud to announce that one of my photographs is currently being exhibited at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. As a finalist in the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition, my piece was one of 49 works selected from 3,300 entries nation-wide. The show is on view through August 22, 2010. Be sure to stop by if you're in the Washington D.C. area!
 
You can vote for my portrait for the People's Choice award until Janury 18th.
